Black water in Thrift Shop's basement
This Thrift shop called after water/sewer backed up from the basement's floor drain. Sewer water cleanup requires more safety measures since the "black water" contains bacteria and pathogens that are harmful. Our production team began by extracting water from three small pools of water on the cement floor. Then they scooped all waste and double bagged it for disposal. They sprayed antimicrobial across all the floors and two feet up the walls. All trims had to be removed and our team cut out two feet of drywall near the flooring and disposed of it. After sweeping, we then hard-surfaced cleaned the cement, and disinfected it.
