Remove Trimming to Avoid Growth
This bedroom in a finished basement had to have the floor trimmings removed after experiencing water damage. Certain areas of the carpet were wet and the room had high humidity. Drywall can act as a wick and absorb some water but luckily the homeowner caught the issue in the nick of time. The trimmings were removed to avoid any mold growth underneath the trimming. After removing the floor trimming, our technicians treated the area with a microbial cleaner and set up air movers to dry the room. Replacing the trimming is more cost-effective versus remediating mold. If you suspect mold in your home, please call us.
